LOT 7 - George W. Thompson Leather Batwing Chaps
Description

Full-grain cowhide batwing cowboy chaps crafted by renowned saddlemaker George W. Thompson of Durango, Colorado. These vintage Western riding chaps feature the distinctive wide-flared "batwing" design favored by working cowboys.

Two-tone leather construction with darker brown primary panels and contrasting lighter tan yoke and waistband. Hand-stitched with white thread throughout, featuring double-row stitching on stress points. Complete with adjustable waist belt with square silver-tone buckle and functional leg closures with metal hooks.

Front pocket flap with button closure remains intact and functional. The interior features maker's mark stamps reading "GEORGE W. THOMPSON MAKER DURANGO, COLO." prominently displayed on both the yoke and waistband.

The leather shows natural patina consistent with age and use including varied color tones and surface wear. All buckles, straps, and fasteners remain functional with no major structural damage or missing components.
