LOT 17 - CARSON CITY 1891 Morgan Silver Dollar
Description

Historic Carson City Morgan dollar with 90% silver content

.900 fine silver United States Morgan dollar coin dated 1891 with the desirable "CC" (Carson City) mint mark. This specimen displays the classic Liberty head obverse and eagle reverse designs by George T. Morgan that characterized this iconic American coinage series.

This collectible silver dollar was minted during a significant period in Western U.S. history when Nevada's Carson City Mint was producing coins from locally-mined Comstock Lode silver. Carson City mint marks are particularly sought after by collectors due to their limited mintage numbers compared to other U.S. mints, with the facility only producing coins from 1870 to 1893.

Condition Notes: Coin displays natural toning and moderate circulation wear consistent with its age. Detail remains visible in Liberty's hair and the eagle's feathers. The distinctive "CC" mint mark is clearly visible below the wreath on the reverse. Reeded edge intact with no significant damage. Refer to the pictures and in person inspection for condition.
