Both coins show Liberty head design by George T. Morgan, with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" inscription and 13 stars representing the original colonies. Reverse displays American eagle with wings spread, clutching arrows and olive branch, surrounded by "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR" denomination.
