LOT 76 - Complete 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar Set - Final Year Issue - All Mints
Description

This lot consists of three 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars representing all three mints that produced this iconic coin in its final year: Philadelphia (no mint mark), San Francisco (S), and Denver (D).

The Morgan Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan, features Lady Liberty in profile on the obverse and an American eagle with wings spread on the reverse, surrounded by a wreath. The coins display the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" above the eagle and "ONE DOLLAR" below.

These 1921 Morgan Dollars hold particular numismatic significance as they represent the final year of the original Morgan Dollar production run (1878-1921). After a 17-year hiatus in production, the Morgan Dollar was briefly revived in 1921 before being replaced by the Peace Dollar design later that same year. The 1921 issue is historically important as it was the only year that all three mints produced the Morgan design simultaneously, with the Denver mint striking Morgan dollars for the first time.

This complete mint set allows collectors to own examples from all three mints for this pivotal final year. Each coin contains 0.77344 troy ounces of silver with a composition of 90% silver.
