Solid oak shield-mounted trophy featuring a mature male Barbary sheep (Ammotragus lervia), identifiable by its distinctive curved horns and reddish-brown coat. This vintage taxidermy specimen showcases excellent craftsmanship from the noted Spengler's Taxidermy of San Antonio, Texas.

The mount exhibits professional preparation with glass eyes, natural horn coloration, and well-preserved facial features. The impressive horn development indicates a mature specimen, with proper natural curving typical of the species. Native to North Africa but most likely harvested in Texas where they were introduced for hunting purposes. Mounted on a quality oak shield with original maker's tag.
