LOT 60 - Victorian Horn Inkwell with Gilt Metal Mounts
Description

Natural horn body with cobalt glass liner and ornate gilt brass mounts. This Victorian-era writing accessory features a circular lid, fluted cobalt blue glass neck, and decorative brass accents. The polished translucent horn vessel displays a rich amber-brown coloration with natural variations in opacity and grain.

The ornate brass hardware includes a cylindrical mount with fluted design, decorative foliate scroll embellishments, and rope-twist border detailing. The piece is adorned with an original red tartan fabric band secured with geometric patterned metallic trim and decorative brass studs, indicative of Scottish influence in Victorian decorative arts.
