Sale Name: 14th Annual Montana Spring Auction
LOT 189 - Vintage Sterling & Silver Personal Items Collection, c.1940-70s
Description

Mixed collection of sterling silver and 950 silver personal accessories including lighter, locket, money clip, key fobs, and charms.

This grouping features a selection of mid-century silver personal accessories. The collection includes a sterling silver Zippo-style pocket lighter with engraved scroll decoration, a circular silver locket pendant with fine floral engraving on sterling chain, and a sleek sterling money clip with monogrammed cartouche. Two silver key fobs with contrasting designs - one with ornate scroll engraving, the other with minimalist styling - demonstrate diverse mid-century metalworking techniques.

Also included are several silver charms and medallions of various origins: a detailed silver hunting dog belt buckle or badge with textured background, a religious medallion, a diminutive figural charm depicting a standing figure, and a miniature pineapple charm. The craftsmanship exhibits professional silversmithing with hand-engraving, die-striking, and lost wax casting methods typical of American and European silver workshops of the period.

Condition Notes: All pieces show appropriate tarnish and patina consistent with age and use. The lighter shows some oxidation but retains its working mechanism. The locket has a functional hinge, though the interior fitting may be missing. Some minor dents and surface wear visible on several pieces. All items appear to be marked sterling or higher silver content. Refer to the pictures and in person inspection for condition.
