The playing field is housed in a red plastic frame with detailed yard markings, one remaining goal post, and a functional down indicator.

Construction details include a metal vibrating field powered by a 110V electric motor (Model No. 500, 110V-6.00W-60C-AC), creating the trademark buzzing movement that propels the plastic players across the field. Each player figure features nylon "legs" that allow for movement when the vibrating mechanism is activated. The metal field is painted in the traditional green with white yard markings and end zones. Safety certifications from both UL and CSA are present on the unit, indicating compliance with period electrical standards.
