LOT 5A - Vintage Navajo Runner Rug with Storm Pattern c.1940's
Description

Handwoven wool textile featuring geometric storm motif in natural earth tones of cream, tan, brown, and black. This mid-20th century Navajo runner (c.1940-1970) displays intricate stepped designs with directional arrows in traditional storm pattern arrangement, bordered by sawtooth design elements. Wool construction with visible handwoven technique and orange accent threading along bottom edge.

The geometric pattern showcases traditional Navajo weaving techniques, featuring a symmetrical arrangement of arrows and abstract forms against a brown field. The border consists of contrasting black and cream sawtooth motifs with triangular designs framing the central pattern.

Some minor wear visible along edges consistent with age, with minor fraying in isolated areas along the black border as shown in images 7-9. Small areas of wear to fibers, but overall in good condition with no major damage or repairs. Colors remain vibrant with natural patina appropriate to age. Refer to the pictures and in person inspection for condition.
