Steel construction with checkered walnut grips, multiple serialized components, original leather holster, and two magazines. This World War II era Luger features classic toggle action and factory markings clearly visible on the barrel and frame.
Primary production steel with original walnut checkered grip panels. The toggle mechanism features the characteristic Luger design with numbered components. Original barrel showing clear factory markings including serial numbers 77835 and 40693 visible on the underside. Frame front marked with serial number 8445. Original safety lever intact with checkered thumb piece. Magazine release button present with proper tension.
Includes two magazines: one appears to be original to the Luger with wooden baseplate showing period markings, and a second magazine. The wooden baseplate magazine represents a desirable original accessory that is often missing from surviving examples.
This P08 Luger appears to be a wartime production model, with the markings "GESICHERT" visible on the frame, indicating German military origin. The mixed serial numbers suggest possible wartime repair or refurbishment, which was common for service weapons during this period. The pistol features the characteristic 9mm parabellum chambering with the toggle-link action that made the Luger famous. The brown leather holster shows age-appropriate wear with functional twisted leather lanyard.
Condition Notes: Metal piece on the holster strap buckle is damaged. Magazine springs show weakened tension. Minor surface wear to bluing consistent with military use. Some patina and minor oxidation on metal surfaces. Wooden grips show minor handling wear with intact checkering. Holster leather shows age-appropriate drying and surface wear with intact stitching. Multiple serial numbers on components indicating possible wartime repair or arsenal rebuilding. Refer to the pictures and in person inspection for condition.

Cast steel construction with walnut grip, five-barrel cluster, and decorative scrollwork. This Civil War-era pistol features "MANHATTAN L.A.MFG CO." and "NEW YORK" manufacturer markings.
Primary construction of cast steel as marked on barrel, with original walnut grip panels secured by screws. Five-shot cylinder design with multiple bores arranged in circular pattern. Double-action mechanism with ring trigger. Frame displays elegant scrollwork engraving. Original factory markings clearly visible on top strap including "MANHATTAN L.A.MFG CO." and "NEW YORK." Additional "CAST STEEL" marking on barrel cluster.
This Manhattan Arms pepperbox pistol was manufactured circa 1855-1868, representing a classic example of mid-19th century American pocket firearms. The pepperbox design, featuring multiple barrels that rotate with each cock of the hammer, was particularly popular among civilians before the widespread adoption of revolvers. The quality of construction and attractive scrollwork engraving demonstrate the craftsmanship typical of Manhattan Firearms Company products.
Condition Notes: Functioning action with proper rotation of barrels. Moderate surface patina across all metal surfaces consistent with age. Some scattered oxidation present. Wood grip shows handling wear but remains solid with no cracks. Scrollwork engraving remains visible despite wear. Trigger guard and mechanism appear complete and functional. All five chambers present in barrel cluster. Refer to the pictures and in person inspection for condition.
